ARTlanta Collection: Manish Arora Life is Beautiful Exhibit

an inside look at arts & culture events in the city of Atlanta

Manish Arora Life is Beautiful @ SCAD FASHION + FILM MUSEUM was an incredible display of creativity, ingenuity, and artistry by world-renowned fashion designer and entrepreneur Manish Arora. He’s earned international acclaim on runways across three continents and has had his designs worn by Priyanka Chopra, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Miley Cyrus, and others. In 2007, Arora was invited to stage his first catwalk show at Paris Fashion Week and has premiered collections there for over a decade. He’s collaborated with major brands such as Swarovski and Reebok. Now, Arora brings the beauty and craftsmanship of “India’s rich sartorial history” to his impressive exhibit at SCAD in Atlanta.

When you walk into the exhibit you immediately feel as if you’ve stepped inside an ethereal euphoria of color. From the brightly painted walls, beaded & sequined backdrops, and stylishly posed mannequins it’s easy to get lost in the world Arora creates. Blending traditional Indian textiles and Western silhouettes with embroidery, modern appliqués, and technology, this vibrant showcase is a window into the fabulous world of global haute couture.

Check it out until September 15th. It’s more than worth the visit!
